I made this as a Nook/Kindle cover for a man. All the other patterns have nice cables and such, but it’s not very manly. In addition, I could not find a button or bead to suit my needs, so I went with a tie. It took me no time at all to complete.
Yarn:
1/4 skein of Patons Classic Wool in Dark Grey Mix
Pattern:Use the Long tail cast on so you can sew up the bottom.
CO 44 on size 8 16in circlular
Knit 14 rows
(k1,p1) 20 rows
Knit 8 rows
Next row: K11, BO 2 stitches, knit rest of the row
knit 2 rows
BO
Sew bottom
Use 4 inch scrap yarn thread through from back to front on both ends. Tie both ends, you may add beads if you like. To close the cover, thread through the holes you made on top.
